What could be more fun than serving caramel apples at your Halloween party? These Mini Apple Pops are—they’re made just like the classic recipe but they’re bite size. You’ll find this recipe in the Halloween collection available from the iCookbook in-app store.

Peanuts, sprinkles, candy-coated chocolate pieces or any other desired candy or nut toppings
1 package (14 ounces) caramel candies
1 tablespoon water
5 Granny Smith apples*, peeled
Small wooden sticks for lollipop sticks
*You may use any type of apple.

1. Place 20 to 25 paper baking cups on baking sheet; set aside. Place peanuts, sprinkles, candy-coated chocolate pieces and any desired toppings on separate small plates; set aside.
2. Combine caramels and water in large saucepan; heat over low heat. Cook and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat.
3. Using a melon baller, scoop four to five balls from each apple. Insert wooden sticks into apple balls. Dip into caramel, rotating to coat evenly; let excess caramel drip off.
4. Roll apples in desired toppings. Place in prepared baking cups on prepared baking sheet; refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes before serving.
